Zentralalpenweg Day 3 (20.9km)

Officially day 3 is 33km from Breitenbrunn to Großhöflein near Eisenstadt. Add in the walk to and from the railway stations would have made it nearer 36km so we decided to split it into 2, although that still made for 20km after descending to the railway station in Donnerskirchen.

We only saw 1 deer and 2 hares in the woods as they are all down on the plain scoffing the new shoots.  There was plenty of happy bird life though and quite a few snowdrops and other greenery surfaced since last week.

Best of all, we hardly saw any windmills except from the train, and they were all still due to zero wind. So I guess Austria was being powered by fossil fuels today.
